The French artist Pierre Marie Brisson has been collaborating with gallery owner Franklin Bowles for the past 30 years. They have embarked on an enduring artistic adventure.

Paintings evoking love at first sight

1985: Five years after his first exhibition in the United States, the French painter displayed his work at the prestigious Franklin Bowles galleries in New York and San Francisco. This exhibition marked an important milestone in artist Pierre Marie Brisson’s career and also marked the beginning of a friendship between the painter and the famous gallery owner and art collector, Franklin Bowles. When Bowles first laid eyes on Brisson’s paintings it was love at first sight. Bowles saw great potential in his work and felt a kinship with the young artist’s unique sensibility. This trusting friendship originated from their mutual love of art and remains strong to this day.
